Five-Year Improvement Plans

There are several benefits from having a Five Year Plan in place, not least the fact that it helps to provide continuity at golf club committee level and helps to prevent knee-jerk actions & reactions from well-meaning committee members.

"Almost all of the Clubs that I work with now have a long term improvement plan in place which enables them to forecast their budgets well into the future. The rate at which the improvements can then be implemented becomes dependent on revenue and finances, enabling the business to hold back or accelerate the plan as funds allow.

A Five Year Plan also helps to identify where and when investment projects can be made to achieve the best value for money on the course. This enables adequate time to be spent on planning the project properly, which helps to eliminate knee-jerk decisions and wasteful abortive costs"  P.J.
