Resources Management

We are often asked 'How many staff should we have to maintain 18 holes?' We work with clubs that have three greenkeepers on 18 holes, and other clubs that have six, seven, eight, or more greenkeeprs on 18 holes.  In all cases the number of staff needs to be appraised and justified to ensure that the labour resource is appropriate for the site and the business objectives.

Resource Management is a very important factor in managing a golf course and should be constantly reviewed and monitored to make sure systems and schedules are up-to-date and efficient.

These principles should apply to human resources, materials, machinery, and should also take into account customer care, customer expectations, environmental matters, recycling & waste management, and training of staff to meet corporate & business objectives.
