Short Game Practice Facilities can be a huge asset to any golf club, and are now needed more than ever to attract visiting golfers and retain members.
They are relatively inexpensive to maintain, yet they add a significant benefit for golfers at all levels of the game from beginners to experienced golfers, and for juniors, seniors, men's, or lady golfers alike.
Well designed practice facilities also offer the opportunity for the Club Professional to give lessons on a one-to-one basis, or in groups, or even whole families. We know that driving ranges have been around for a long time, which is fine if you have the space, but if space is at a premium, then the added value of constructing a short game facility should not be under estimated as it can provide tangible benefits for golfers for a relatively low investment.
PJA has been responsible for designing and project managing the construction of some innovative new short game facilities, putting greens, practice bunkers & chipping greens at clubs such as Royal Guernsey GC, West Herts GC, & Bradfield College GC.
